After a week Start market closed with green trend, Nifty - 50 Index closed with +94.75 while 30 stock index closed with green colore at 18,449.31(+359.69).

The 50-share S&P CNX Nifty finally settled at 5,526.75 after gaining 94.75 points or 1.74%. Nifty February 2011 futures closed at 5,538.65, at a premium of 11.90 over spot closing of 5,526.75, while Nifty March 2011 futures were at 5,553.90, at a premium of 27.15 points over spot closing. The near month February 2011 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Nifty February futures saw an addition of 4.51% or 0.99 million (mn) units, taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 23.05 mn units.
