3:45 PM: Due to a strong round of selling during the final minutes, the market gave up most of its early gains and ended just modesty up today.

A rally in global markets and some encouraging economic and earnings data kept the mood positive.

The Sensex ended at 17,527.82 (provisional) with a gain of 24.35 points or 0.14%.

The Nifty closed at 5271.95, up 17.80 points or 0.34%. With the help of sensex level Stock futures and option also closed with little boom.
